Lime invest in ireland

Lime to invest €10m in Irish operations as it prepares to enter the e-scooter services. Lime Company is one of more than 20 micromobility operators hoping to run services in Dublin and other larger cities in Ireland.

This is as the Irish Government begins to make way for legalising micro mobility with the The Road Traffic and Roads Bill.

This will include provisions for e-scooter usage, It was originally expected that legislation allowing for e-scooters on Irish roads would be passed before last Christmas accept Covid got in the way.

It is now hoped the piece of legislation, which is now due to go before the legistalors, will be passed before the end of 2021.
